VStrike is a bicycle wheel manufacturing company based in Tasmania Australia.

We Produce a range of bicycle rims bicycle wheels and parts from composite materials.

Our primary market is the high performance sector of bicycle racing, triathlon and multi sports.

The founder* has over thirty years experience in performance cycling. with a further twenty five years in manufacturing and design.

VStrike wheels are produced in low volume, the greatest of care is taken with each part we make.

As a Former Professional cyclist I was in a position where i was able to assess the
many and varied types of equipment relating to Elite level bicycle racing. During my
career I covered about two hundred thousand kilometres on the road. and approximately
fourteen thousand on the track. I realised the biggest problem's we faced where related to
equipment failures, and usually wheels. breaking spokes, flat spots in rims even collapsed rims
another problem experienced by elite level track sprinters was the lateral flexing of the rims
when in the bends of the track.
this usually happens at 70kph while pulling 2 g's of force.. its pretty scary not knowing
If your wheel will survive the bend or not, this is even more terrifying on a tandem.
Have i seen rims or wheels collapse ? Unfortunately I have seen quite a few.
To try to address some of the problems i have developed my own carbon rims and wheels
